What's new

Anyone else watching hockey?

I am sitting here and surfing while watching the US/Canada medal game on NBC. What a great game. So far Canada is outplaying us, but one period to go.

Beats watching curling- like watching paint dry :wink2:

I watched for a bit during lunch, really interesting. As for curling, I watched (or recorded) all televised competition. It's boules on ice, what's not to love? :001_smile

Excellent game! My only negative is the Olympics are supposed to be amateur athletics. It shouldn't be "Our NHL pros versus your NHL pros."

The best sporting event I've been to live was a 20 and under hockey game in Kelowna - incredible.

Curling is all about angles and finesse, unless you have tried it don't diss it. try sweeping that rock the full sheet of the ice... it ain't as easy as it looks. I played hockey in HS and College... faster game granted, but for sheer strategy curling has it hands down

Unfortunately, the old days and those values seem to be long gone. Enjoy the overtime!

Eh, I think the olympics should be "bring your best."

Congrats to Canada on the gold medal and a truly well played fiercely contested game! Really exciting and ending in OT.
