Anybody Got A Thin Handle Old Type Clone?

I've posted all over this forum about my unidentified thin handle Canadian Single Ring lookalike.
It's got no markings at all, so there was a bit of a debate about whether any Gillettes came out of Montreal completely unmarked.
I'd be really pleased if it was a genuine Gillette, but am still quite happy if it's a clone cos it's a magnificent, very aggressive, edgy shaver.
Thing is, has anybody else got a non-Gillette thin handle Canadian style clone?
This razor's so good I'm fascinated by it but just can't solve the mystery...yet.
Have you got one that looks anything this?:

Looks like a Gillette handle and clone base plate.
That's what I thought- the handle and cap are really well made but, although it shaves wonderfully, the baseplate is badly manufactured and certainly lacks the solid engineering feel I've seen in other vintage Gillettes.

I have one.
Wow- this is what I'm looking for.
Do you have any photos?
Do you know anything about its manufacture?

I went digging and found it. It's similar but not the same, it has DRGM stamped on the base of the handle which is a German manufacture.

My guess is that the complete razor is a clone.
The ball on the handle does not look correct and there appears to be a "step" where the knurling ends
The comb guard does not appear to be correct and should be marked with at least a serial number
The cap bullets appear too round and the threaded stud should be considerably taller than the bullets.

This is based on the Gillette razors that I have...Gillette has been known to make some odd ball razors in Canada though.....

Yes- this razor is very similar to the razors pictured here:

except for the diferent baseplate and that very unusual "step" on the neck.
Again it makes me wonder if someone fixed a broken Gillette with parts of their own making.

So...has anybody else got a thin handle Old Type clone like this?
The search continues...

It could be a French razor by Leresche.
I have one that is pretty similar, but sadly I don't have it here to make a thorough comparison.

That's an interesting new lead-I google "thin handle Leresche" but couldn't find anything, bu their ball end handles do
have that "step" on the neck.
Also the thread on the cap is different from any US or English Gillette etc which could suggest European manufacture.

I was inspired to clean it up a bit (with lemon juice and scouring pads) and it certainly is a beautiful thing:

...and here's a Gillette razor with an almost identical handle but without the "step" and an entirely different baseplate:
