Any shave shops in San Diego?

I'll be in San Diego CA next weekend to see some friends. Any brick and mortar shops I should stop in to do my part in helping the economy?

Cool to see your visiting! I'm in Northern San Diego County right smack dab next to Stone Brewery. I don't know of any shops here other than The Art of Shaving. However, if you really want to treat yourself you should get an appointment at Lefty's Barbershop for a clean straight razor shave - I've heard only great things about the place.

I'll definitely try to get to Della Bella. Lefty's sounds like a nice idea on Monday before I leave. I'll be getting in Thursday night, leaving Monday night.

There's also an Ace Hardware in Hillcrest, (not far from the other place) that has a few pucks of Pre de Provence shave soap.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did make it to Casa Della Bella Italia. Very nice shop, very friendly proprietor. He has a selection of European foods and a huge selection of bath soaps. He also has a nice small cabinet stocked with shaving goodies: soaps, DEs, blades, brushes, and a few straights. He had some of the most beautiful Dovo straights I've ever seen up close. Anlter scales (I think) with gold and red stripes on the spine of the blade. I've seen pictures but in person they are just beautiful! I didn't need and soaps and didn't have the money for the straights so I didn't buy anything, but I will certainly visit the shop any time I'm in town.

Unfortunately I did not make it to Lefty's I was booked with things to do Friday and Saturday and they are not open Sunday and Monday. Again, if I'm in town again I'll be sure to visit.
