What's new

Any one use Saint Charles Shaves aftershaves>

Thinking of asking for some for Christmas and would love to hear reviews of any of the scents, as well as the overall likes and don't likes of the products.

Every one that I've ever tried is excellent. Sandalwood and Bay Rum with a Twist are exceptionally nice. I like Refined too.

I am completely biased but in my experience SCS aftershaves, from splashes to milks to balms, are as good an aftershave line as can be found. No matter the price. I own, or have owned, almost every aftershave product they have offered. They are all quality products that do not break the bank. You might want to go the sample route. Wendy's samples are quite generous especially given the little amount of product that is required to do the job. If forced to choose one each splash, milk and balm I would have to go with Mediterranean Citrus splash, Savory Rose milk and Avocado Oil Balm. Other stand-outs are the Savory Rose, Lavender, Refined and Very V splashes, Lavender milk and Blue Line balm. I don't know if any of the Extract of Sandalwood splash or milk is left but that stuff was great, too.

I found the splashes harsh at first (I have sensitive skin) but now the sandalwood is a favorite. Just love the stuff.

Excellant products at a low cost. IMO best on the market. My favorites are Dagger Splash, Lime Splash and Sandalwood Balm. Bay Rum with a twist is good and I also like the the Dagger Eau De Toillete.

Thanks folks- now I gotta decide on a flavor! The stuff called Aspect sounds interesting, I have spicy stuff, menthol stuff, and Bay rums already in the den.

You can if you're sensitive to it like I am (which sucks because SCS has some great bay rum scents). But her lime, coconut, seasonal pumpkin spice, savory rose, Fairway, and Aspect currently grace my cabinet. Aspect makes a nice follow-up to Nancy Boy shave gel, IMO.

Aspect is awesome! To my nose, it is lemon with herbs, woods and musk. It goes perfectly with Penhaligons Blenheim Bouquet or Eau Sauvage. Really a unique aftershave balm/milk.

Word to the wise, especially if you have sensitive skin: apply all SCS aftershaves to a slightly wet face or with slightly wet hands. On her site she says her aftershaves are highly concentrated and she ain't kidding. So, if you apply to a dry face, the alcohol content will likely sting and the moiturizers in the aftershave will leave your mug greasy. The splashes are VERY similer to Musgo Real in that way. But, applied to a damp face or with wet hands, they are sublime!!!!

Do they have a store i can go to I'm about 45 minutes from saint chuck?

I've tried the AS Milk that was generously PIF'd to me by SCS. This stuff works well and a little goes a long way. The scent stays with me all day too. The one I got from them was Parma Violet and I actually like it which is saying something since I hate flowery scents. It's awesome stuff!

Can't speak to the aftershave but their soap is phenomenal. And if the scents of their soap is any indication, their aftershave would be great as well.
