I found this valet autostrop but I'm not sure of the year. It says Toronto, Canada and on the lever at the back it has 036828 stamped on it. Any ideas on what year it might be? I can't find one online that looks like it. It also looks like it may have been silver plated but most of it has come off. Thanks.

Most Valets are hard to place. They don't have date codes or even well documented model numbers. I believe this is a 1928-1935 Valet Auto Strop VC2.

That's great info, Alex. Never knew that much was documented about the Valets. I have to try to find a copy of Waits somewhere.
