Another Stupid Thread

After reading all the stupid posts about this stupid brush, I finally broke down and bought a stupid BK8 from stupid feelunique.com for just over 100 stupid dollars, shipped.

It arrived yesterday, and I used it for the first stupid time this morning (face and bowl).

Previously, I had been shaving with other brushes, including the B&B Boar, the da Vinci 293, the Semogue 1305, and the Bock Silvertip. That was stupid.

Although all of my other brushes are very good (possibly great) brushes, none of them even comes close to this stupid brush.

Kent make some great brushes.

If you love the BK8, just wait till you try the BK12.

There are lots of great brushes but Kent manages somehow to setup a standard of its own.

How is the backbone on it, looks a bit floppy

Wow, your logo is different from mine. I like the white too, mine is much more, hell, it IS creme. Mine says Pure Badger and yours says Pure Silvertip. Wonder when they changed that?

It's a stupid, stupid brush. Ridiculous amounts of lather. Plush feel on your face.

How is the backbone on it, looks a bit floppy

I would not call this floppy. It isn't as stiff as my B&B boar, but it stands up as well or better than my other two badger brushes, both of which are decent face latherers, and I'd say it is on a par with the broken-in 1305 for face lathering, just has a very different face feel. The knot is so dense, it feels much more substantial than any other badger I've used.

This brush is not floppy, its just RIGHT!
