Another Question about Ebay Hones...

So, there's this listing for a set of hones on eBay:

does anyone have experience with them? item location says Poland, so I don't know if they'd be cheap chinese hones (a la zeepk) or what..
any help/input/direction to another thread would be most appreciated by an eager newbie.

I have the 5k. It's a carborundum made by taidea. It's an alright stone. Very very very fast. Very thirsty (needs an hour+ soaking and still has to be sprayed during use). Feels cheap, brittle, but it's a $20 stone.

Comparing it to a King. The king will last a lot longer, but it's also much slower. If I were given the choice between the two I'd probably go with King.


Yes they are cheap chinese stones. But they do work. Just don't bang them against things (or eachother) they chip fairly easily.
