Georgia Straight profiled this new place and I can see in the background cupboard what looks like Proraso cream so there must be other shaving things...one of the owners owns a barber shop

Yep.
Anthony's Barber Supplies located on the North Shore. The address is 1102 3rd St E., North Vancouver.

He carries JM Fraser's creams too. His own in house line of A/S is the same price as Booster's & is worth checking out.
Also, they carry Pinaud as well

I have the Lime, June Clover (my favorite), & Polar Ice.
My next one will be Mosswood as well as one of Anthony's A/S's with menthol in it.

Booster's or Anthony's will be perfect for you. The Pinaud not so much.
I saw your criteria in the aftershave thread.
