Another one bites the dust; Ever Ready C40

I haven't been satisfied with my first few restores and after being set straight by fellow members, I realized I have been setting my knots too tightly in the handle... Restricting bloom and flow through.

So, with my newfound knowledge, I eagerly ripped open my package from TGN today and began sanding and making the finishing touches on my C40. The knot: TGN Finest 24mm, knot hole: 27mm and loft: 49mm.

I'm actually quite happy with the results which is rare; I'm a perfectionist and my own worst critic. Anyhow, here are the results:

The epoxy is drying - Can't wait to test it out tomorrow! Cheers!

Thanks guys. Pretty sure I got it as even as I could... Taking into consideration they're imperfect to begin with.

Wow, that's gorgeous. I have an nos c40 that I want to do the exact same thing with. I'll have to remember where you set the loft to

Quite a transformation from a really poor looking boar to a beautiful 2-band finest badger.
Congratulations, well done !

Nice looking brush, I made the same mistake you did on my first restore and packed the knot too tight, a couple extra mm really helps.

After a head and face shave then a couple practice lathers, this brush is waaay better than expected!

It performs better than it looks!
