I bought this. $25 shipped. Blade looks nice and straight in the pictures; I wonder if it's as straight as my James Barlow & Sons...

Man there's good condition antiques out there. When was this company operating?

Yeah I'm actually liking the antiques. I don't know why, they function the same, but it's neat to have something that cleaned up from 1850. Everyone who was alive when the company that made my other antique (JB&S) is dead, even the ones born the day the company folded.

Looking at some military issue straights, german and american, see other thread. They're pricey though; I'd love to have a US Army/Navy straight though.

Wow this thing has like no wear, there's a little rust near the back that I can't get to without removing it from the scales. It's mostly clean.
