Am I doing something wrong? Badger brush

Hey guys, as many of you know i am still just starting out in the world of DE and wet shaving and just had a burning question. I have an Edwin Jagger Super Badger Brush, good value well perfoming brush IMO anyway. What i worrying me is that on the outside of the brish i get "fly away" hairs that wont stay with the rest of the hairs on the brush. When ever i look at any of your brishes they always look so perfect with not a hair out of place, what am i doing wrong if anything, is this just an accurance of a cheaper brush, or is it regular and you just pull them out?

thanks

Many new brushes tend to go through an "ugly duckling" stage, where they get those stray hairs you mentioned. Many times, you'll find they start to conform on their own after you've used the brush for a while - say a couple weeks or so. Once the brush is dry, you can "groom" it a little by brushing it back and forth on your palm, then stroke the crown from knot to tips a few times. That should get it looking better. If you want it looking like the day you first got it, put it in its original packaging, or simply roll it up in a paper towel overnight. I would not pluck out the stray hairs. I don't know that there's any harm in doing it (although, I don't know that there isn't, either), but it strikes me as an unnecessarily draconian way to get your brush to shape up.

+1 on this.

I wouldn't worry about the strays. Sometimes mine get them and at other times there's none. I don't see any problem here. :w00t:
