Aloe vera?

I have a tube of aloe vera here (been using it for shingles) and realized that one these heal I won't have a use for it. Anyone used this in the past for an AS? Has a great smell, seems like it would work well?

Thoughts?

I blend in Aloe and glycerine to my "store bought" aftershaves.

Makes a BIG difference in them without changing the scent. Leaves a nice smooth feeling after the AS dries down.

My post shave may be a little excessive but remember that YMMV, here is what i do:

1. Cold water rinse
2. Witch hazel splash
3. About 2 minutes for cleanup
4. Cold water rinse (otherwise the Aloe Vera is real tacky)
5. Aloe Vera
6. Wait about 10 minutes or so
7. After shave balm sometimes mixed with a tiny little bit of after shave splash (Pinaud Bay Rum or Osage Rub)

Sometimes I don't need the Balm but i like to cut the burn of the splash

Does it dry sticky? That's the thing with Aloe usually.

My fav AS are all aloe based.

I dont see why it wouldnt work. If I have had a less then comfortable shave for some reason I reach for my Thayers Lavender which has Aloe. Works great.
I would think just a dab will do ya, though
