All Shined Up!

So yesterday I got a (J4) Gillette Slim, a (L1) Gillette Slim, and a (R3) Lady Gillette in light blue, for $5.00 from an antique shop. They looked disgusting. I cleaned and polished them up last night/this morning. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking! Best wishes. Nick

I do believe you are right, after a little more research it does seem that I have the darker blue one. Thanks for clearing that up!

lovely job! i have a couple GEMs coming soon, and in the same shape (if not worse) than yours were. what method did you use to clean them up? i was just thinking a hot water soak>scrub with toothbrush and toothpaste>then rinse and air dry.

BTW i'd totally shave with the Lady G

I hot water soaked them overnight with some dish soap, scrubbed with tooth brush, then rinsed/dried, sprayed Scrubbing bubbles and tooth brushed what was left over, then toothpick'ed/Qtip'ed all of the hard to reach areas. Finished off with a brasso polish.

sounds simple enough. one of mine is "gold" plated. i heard scrubbing bubbles could be bad for it?
