alibaba pure badger?

I haven't got a nice pure badger. And I see it's fairly cheap. Anyone got one? Thoughts?

I dont have an alibaba in pure , but a style 1, and i wish i had take silvertip.

It's very " scritchy" (not sure about the word) with a little blooming.
much more difficult to make good lather with it.
I wont recomend the Pure grade even if its cheap.

I have 1/1 and 2/1 in super. Well, looks like I'll be trying to get the vintage blades rooney special 3/1...

But till then- any1 got some more experiences with the pure?

I thought that the Alibaba was from the Heritage range and only came with the special grade of silvertip? The "specials" from Vintage Blades are a pure grade and look like a great deal to me, especially the coral handle one.

The Alibaba can be had in pure from Classic Shaving. As I have both an Emillion and a Stubby 2 in the special grade, I can tell you it is worth every penny. Still, I hear the pure is pretty decent. Personally, if you want the pure go for the Emillion handle--larger knot, better handle.

The brush I really want is the Large Stubby in finest at Classic: only $379.
