I picked up an Alcoso Solingen straight today for around $28. I have found a little about them here and there, but am wondering if anyone could share their experiences with one. I have heard no complaints as of yet in relation to shave, and the aesthetics are just fine. I hope the pic is visible, it appears small in the post preview. The pic is tiny to me too, looks nice from what I can see though. From what my google-fu turns up, they're apparently good razors made in in the 1980's (as far as I can tell). Should hone and shave well. Good luck Sir!
I have an Alcoso 5/8" that is a wonderful shaver. Al-Co-So stands for Alexander Coppel, Solingen....Also visible is a hair I just used to do an HHT with!! haha

Should shave beautifully. If it doesn't, send it for honing or hone it yourself
