Aftershaves Oil vs. alcohol

Folks, been shaving the the help of B&B for about 6 months now.
I am getting down to bottom of my Proraso shaving cream and wanted to place another order.
I got curious and started looking at my aftershave(s) as well and saw something really surprising:
The one from the Art of Shavings main ingrediant was Caster Oil, where as the one I normally use, Clubman, its main component is Alchohol.

Quite the difference...

Anyway I have sensitive skin and find that both products are good there, but I dont know which is better for my skin.

If the answer is oil based, is there a more budget friendly choice than the Art of Shaving product line?

Hi
I often use the homemade blend of olive oil and tea tree oil.
The result is good - no irritation (even in hot weather), and soft skin.

A little research will unearth the following oils that are good for your skin, good for pre-shave, good for mixing in with soap, or good for after shave:

Sunflower oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, shea butter oil, castor oil, grapeseed oil, almond oil, glycerin (not really an oil, but often included like one), olive oil, tea tree oil, Avocado oil, lavender oil.

A number of these are primary ingredients in the various shave oils.

All of them are conveniently available on Amazon.

I have a number of these and rotate through them for my pre-shower face/neck slathering.

Same here, but I also include about 20% castor oil. It's great!

You don't notice any difference between the two? You may need to stick to using one at a time for a while to see and then switch and use the other for a time.
