After shave splash and balm

Hi everyone,

Since I have dry skin I use Aftershave balm from AofS but I don't seem to get this soothing effect that I like with the Proraso Splash. I use the balm on my face and the splash at the neck area.
Is this something I should avoid?
Maybe I'm using the wrong product?

Any advice for a rookie?

Thank you

Marc

Hi Marc,

I like to mix some 444 balm with my favorite splashes. You can control the amount of moisturising achieved by the 444 in the application. I find I get the best of both worlds :001_smile

I do not think that you are doing anything wrong here. You might want to try another Aftershave as it seems it doesn't do what you want. You could always pick-up a Nivea or L'Oreal, cheap and easy to find... See how you go... If Proraso does the trick, I would get that ASAD is kicking in?

Try something that's not greasy like Proraso Pre/Post or Institut Karite ASB (or even Every Man Jack ASB).

What I find works best for me is to use a splash. Then I wait 10-15 minutes. When you get that tight face feel from it, then go with a balm to finish up. YMMV

I find that this works best for me as well. Splash followed by AOS Lav or one of many others I have.

Same for me. Shower, shave, splash. Get dressed, comb hair, and then a little balm before breakfast. Lovely.
