Advise on a non-leather trench coat

Hi all, i'd like to get a trench coat, not leather, since i have it, but made of cotton or some other materials.To wear with suit/tie (NO tie with jeans) and just casual.As far as i know it is a very stylish yet classic looking piece of outerwear.Since for the last several years i get ALL my cloth, boots etc online from the States and UK,i have no possibility to try it on etc.Those who've been here know how ridiculous the prices for clothing hereI'd like to hear your opinions on the stuff and brands you can reccomend or wear.My limits is 200USD without shipping.Thanks!

I have owned Burberry, Brooks Brothers, etc. I still have my London Fog from 20 years ago. It wears well with suits and casual wear. They are also reasonably priced.

Why not check out a thrift store, consignment shop, or vintage boutique?

I've had my Brooks Brothers trench coat for 15 years and it still looks fine. I couldn't recommend Burberry - too pretentious, I'm afraid. One of those once-great brands (like Izod, Louis Vuitton, Timberland, A&F, and many others) that went over to the dark side. Stay with a modest classic.

I used to have a London Fog which I thought looked quite smart. I have NO idea where it got to, now I think about it.

I've always liked Burberry for trenchcoats, and Brooks Brothers for non-trench raincoats.

You certainly couldn't go wrong with either one. Just make sure you get one with a removable wool lining, which will make it useful virtually all year long.
