Advice needed: "Winter" shaving creams

Alright gents, looking for some off-season advice (at least for those of us in the Northern hemisphere).

I'm considering what shaving cream to try next winter. Any suggestions? :confused1

If you could only have one shaving cream when there's snow on the ground, what would it be?

I like the scent of pine in the winter, so I guess it would be Mike's Pine and Cedarwood.

Oooops...you're looking for a cream. In that case, it would be D.R. Harris Marlborough.

Castle Forbes cedar/sandalwood is my winter go to, but i also love my cade both great scents and fantastic performance

Mitchels Wool Fat hands down. It protects like nothing else and is a great moisturizer for the dry winter months.

I'd go with Bluebeards Revenge (Don't Shoot me!)...

I used TOBS and A LOT of Soaps/Shave Sticks throughout the Summer and Bluebeards just seems to sit well in terms of scent, protection and is a nice lather too :).

The other thing i do is shave every couple of days.. to avoid the sting of the wind down here..

1. DR HARRIS Marlborough
2. Proraso Red Sandalwood
3. Trumper Almond
4. Acca Kappa 1869 pot
5. Castle Forbes Lavender
6. I Coloniali
7. Penhaligon Endymion
8. Penhaligon Opus 1870

Leaning towards giving Marlborough a try. I have samples of DR Harris colognes being sent to me; does anyone know if the cologne scents are comparable to the shaving creams?

The only "winter" cream I've used is AOS Sandalwood, but it is fantastic stuff.

NY Shaving Company Tonsorial Bond - no idea why, but it feels "warm" when it's on my face. Great scent, great lather, great slickness, and the corresponding ASB is excellent for keeping your face hydrated in winter.

For the Winter I'd consider shaving creams with good moisturizing properties. Some names that come to my mind are AK 1869, Proraso Red and SMN.

The Marlborough cologne smells exactly like the cream. Be warned, it is a somewhat polarizing scent. People either love it or hate it. It took me a week of sniffing to warm up to it. Now it's in my top three.

I find myself using Tabac almost exclusively in the Winter. Seems very moisturizing for me. I definitely avoid any lime soap, too drying for me.
