Adding more grip to a handle?

I was wondering, is there a way to perhaps add a rubber grip to a vintage gillette handle? like water resistant heat shrink tubing or something?

I bought some cheap rubber "pencil holder" grips from Staples to put on my vintage Slant. Not the prettiest things in the word, but they really provided a nice grip and, importantly, they could be easily removed so they wouldn't mar the handle finish.

Try a wrap or two of 1" wide waterproof bandage tape. Did that to my EJ DE89.

Another cost effective solution would be black O-rings. They're made in many sizes and would not look too bad, IMHO.

Either will work; the cork is a lot thicker, though.
