I love mentholated A/S splashes. My favorite is Iced Lime by The Shave Den--I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it. JoAnna makes an excellent A/S splash--smells good, fantastic cooling effect, works great and fairly priced. But...I'm almost out
and all I have left are some non-mentholated A/S splashes sitting on my shelf.
The other day I was on mama bear's site ordering some shaving soaps and saw where she sells liquid menthol. A light went off...I ordered it and have been adding menthol to some of my non-mentholated A/S splashes.
So far I am actually liking this process very well. Instead of sitting on a shelf, not being used, I am now getting rid of an old supply of unused A/S. Plus using it expands my future options (if I find a product/scent I like I can just add menthol.) Another cool thing about this is that the addition of menthol doesn't change the scent of the A/S (I was worried it might). The menthol is almost entirely odorless.
I still love my Shave Den Iced Lime and plan to order more soon, but this new approach has turned out to be a pretty good fix for the meantime. I'm just wondering, has anyone else tried this too?
