Adams Germany Stainless

While perusing the antique mall, I happened upon an "Adams Germany" Straight. It is in excellent condition. Well, it was until I nicked my freshly honed edge against the metal scales for a nice chip (doesn't quite close straight). This razor is ground completely flat (not wedge) on one side and hollow on the other. Has anyone seen one of these? Pics to come tomorrow once I get my camera out. She honed up easily, for a good shave, but is very heavy with the metal scales.

The razor is identical to this one. I hope this is okay to link, since this auction is not live.

It's a called a microtome grind usually used for thinly slicing specimen for microscopic study... Not a good shave

The scales were all metal so it would be autoclaved (sterilized)

Hmm. I figured it was for surgical use or something like that. The flat side required some odd angles, that's for sure. I guess I'll save this one for display or sell it.

That explains the extremely heavy metal scales
