I got the x-1 for a gift for my dad and a GEM featherweight from Jlander and I received a gift of a Slant and an old shaving mug recently. I went to Norway, didn't find anything shaving related, got a lot of licorice though.

Yes it is great wood. I was lucky enough to clear out an old wood workers place about 15 years ago and it had a vertual treasure trove of fine vintage woods. Just about 30 different variaties. All old growth stuff to boot.

None of that Home Dumpo stuff....

Stopped in at Noor to buy a Pehaligons X-mas sampler for a gift - very nice set of 4 ETDs that's beautifully packaged (they have a men's and woman's version) and a perfect way to introduce someone to Penhaligons range.

I also picked up some testers - Penhaligons Blenheim Bouquet (wanted a vial for my gym bag), Hammam and English Fern and Artisan Parfumeur Mechant Loup, Fou D'Absinthe (another for the gym bag) and Voleur des Roses.

If you're in Toronto - you need to stop into Noor - great range of high end fragrances and good with the samples!
