What's new

A unique shaving mug .

I just got a rather unique shaving mug. It is a Marvy unbreakable mug. What makes it unique is that it will accept the larger soap pucks as well as smaller ones. The small pucks fit nice and snug because the mug has a built in smaller ring in the bottom to hold the smaller pucks in place instead of them sliding all around. Just seemed like a good idea to me. Because it cost less than $12.00 it's a good buy also.

Looks very nice in pics. thought it was pottery (which would made it a fantastic acquisition)...

I have it in green!

Ditto here, the green rubber Marvy. And I LOVE it.

I agree the brown one looks a bit classier. I thought the rubber might keep the water hotter a bit longer (I mostly use it as a brush soaker, rewetter). It does a fine job keeping the water hot, IMO.

Quick question, has anyone here tried both and compared them?

In addition to the green rubber Marvy mug, I have a white plastic one, which is also Marvy. I'm very happy with both of them!

got them both on Amazon.

Cheers for posting this. I've never heard of Marvy before. A quick search on Amazon and I can get on in the UK.

This thread inspired me to break out my green rubber Marvy's Mug this morning. It whipped up a great Tabac lather which my USA-made Case Red Imp 132 Wedge used to mow down some stubble on the way to a nick-free BBS. I finished up with a little Burt's Bees ASB and a splash of Tabac AS. Thanks for reminding me how great the Marvy's Mug is!

Nice set-up.

Would someone who has the green one tell me (or take a picture) what the inside looks like. Does it have a ring for the smaller pucks?
Also those of you who have the green and another Marvy, how does the green compare in size to the other?

Do the 3" pucks not get pushed down into that outside area? That ring for the smaller pucks seems high and could be kind of a pain when the soap gets low? I like it, but curious about that ring.
