Hi
Been using this brush for 4 months, and a good first purchase, but now getting an idea of my preferences.
The Vulfix is probably around the right size, but quite soft, as they are renowned for being, so I've no problem going smaller. It's rated as a Pure badger, but I realise the grading scales aren't standardised.
I'm looking for something as soft, but with backbone. I use cream and soaps and the Vulfix can do both well, but pretty much flattens out on soap and probably doesn't load as well as some brushes can.
I'm looking at around $100AUS. No more, as I have to factor in shipping costs. A local brick and mortar store stocks EJ brushes, but they charge like wounded Rhinos. Aside from Vulfix and T&H, local online availability is sparse.
I like Rooneys, as they fit the price range, appear to have the characteristics I'm looking for, and get good feedback. Only problem is some of the sizes are sold out, and Vintage Blades won't ship o/s, so my choice of vendors is limited.
Any suggestions, or other brushes to consider?
Thanks.
