I read recently that glycerine is one of the best things for you skin, because it pulls moisture out of the air and onto your skin. And I know that most mainstream soap manufacturers take almost all of the glycerine out of their soap because they know how good it is and they'd rather use it for their more expensive cosmetics.
So I noticed that Clearly Natural soap claims to be 27% glycerine. but what it is the other 73%? There are no ingredients on the label. Perhaps it is parafin, which is another word for wax. I recall that I used to use Skin Trip soap, which listed parafin as one of it's ingredients. And both Clearly Natural and Skin Trip have kind of a waxy feeling if you feel it when it's dry.
So what do you all think? Do you think I'm right? And if I am, is this bad for your skin? I don't even know exactly what wax is quite honestly.
