OK, so I've spent a good couple hours in the last few days perusing many of the threads here in the Brown Leaf, and I'm wondering if a new sticky of FAQs would be good for folks. Questions like, What's the difference between a burley and a cavendish? Or What is Briar anyway, and why are so many pipes made from it. I'm sure that I can come up with quite a few more, especially since I still have so many. (Though I did google what briar actually was and why so many pipes are made from it.) The different "dialects" of 'bacy I have not chased down yet. I'm a big fan of trying to look up information before just asking something that I know 100 other folks have already asked and had answered rather than being the 101st person. What do you all think? Maybe respond with a question that you remember having as a newb, or even something that you may wonder now...
