What's new

A little firearm porn.

Unless you can find a transferable full auto sear (rare and pricey) you are out of luck. You can convert a semi Thompson to full auto without breaking the law only if you are a FFL/SOT and then it can not be sold except to another FFL/SOT. Civilians can't own an MG unless it is transferable. Fully transferable Tommy Guns are pricey. Ruben has some Thompsons in his inventory if you are flush and must have one. Tip: you better have enough green left over to take your wife on a European vaca since she isn't going to like it. Or you will have to lie about how much it cost and be VERY convincing.

Only about $20,000 for a 1928 Thompson? I may be able to handle that...it should only increase in value.

Hey, you only live twice.

I've never looked into them extensively. I got sucked into the one registered lower many upper AR-15 rabbit hole. If you are not well versed on the Thompson I would join the following forum and learn as much as you can from the old hats.
Thompson Submachine Gun and other Classic Full Autos
If you go in there you may get hooked. The Thompson is an iconic and historic firearm.

Thanks!

Would I even go for the Federal tax stamp for a common M-16, Uzi, or AK? No.

But for a classic 1920s Thompson...I could send him a bank draft as soon as the bank opens tomorrow. I didn't know the Thompsons were even still available unless you had good collector connections for a private sale between qualified seller/buyer. I could always get an FFL.

Don't forget to show us some pics in 8 months when you get your tax stamp. Ruben is a high dollar dealer and won't negotiate price. He will give a 500 discount to vets though.

Guaranteed you will turn heads at the range.

And then there is a Winchester '73 in .44-40 that is calling my name.

Decisions, decisions.

Almost as bad as razors eh? Everyone said to get a larger safe than you think you might need, but I got a small one anyway. I needed a solid limiter. I knew I was sure to fill anything I got.

My wife has 2 walk-in closets (only clothes and shoes). She also co-oped every other closet in the house. So I don't feel too bad. :001_smile
