A good brush makes a difference!

Had the same exact experience of the boar becoming "prickly" on the 2nd pass. So I recently made a switch from a boar (Omega something) to a synthetic (Simpson T2).

I've been sold on synthetics instantly -- I didn't have to change my technique at all, as it produced heaps of lather on the first go, it has enough backbone and is really soft, for barely 19 euros too! :biggrin1:

I upgraded my brush (van der hagen to muhle). What an awesome difference. I didn't realize what I was missing. I can definately appreciate the difference. I'm not saying a more expensive brush is always better, but in my scenario, it definately was a huge improvement.

I have to agree, the brush makes a huge difference in the overall shave experience. I have also found some soaps become far more luxurious and protective with a different type of brush, whereas other products are not so picky. The feel is a whole other aspect entirely.
