A Different Way to Load Your Brush

Normally, I load my damp brush by swirling it around the soap puck until it has sufficient lather: usually about 15 to 20 times. At a friend's suggestion, I have tried something different this week.

I take a damp brush and swirl it 3 times and put some soap on the right side of my face. I then load the brush 3 times and go to the left side of my face. I then do the same thing with the left and right side of my neck. I then worked the lather on my face until it reached the consistency I liked.

I tried this with two different soaps: Haslinger Coconut (tallow formula) and Grooming Dept. Amare and six different brushes: Kent BK8, B&B LE 2011, Yaqi 28mm syn, B&B 10th Anniv, Omega HI syn, and Omega 81502 boar. The results were very good. If you are having some problems with making lather this may help.

I haven’t heard of this method before. If I have trouble with a soap, I’ll try it. Thank you for sharing, sir.
