I had the 8 cup version of that exact percolator (it may still be down in the cellar). I bought it after seeing 2-3 Farberware Percolators bite the dust.
It's been years since I've drunk perked coffee, but I recall that the Presto Perkie was terrific and lasted much longer than the more expensive Farberware models.
