What's new

4 marukas?

I was in on 3 of them, but nope... didn't win any. I really wanted #2 (white asagi), but seller with 1 feedback and that limited info on the stones. It wasn't worth a $95 gamble to me. Hopefully the winners got amazing stones for their gamble though.

I have serious doubts about their authenticity.

Doesn't mean they're bad stones - they could be phenomenal.
Even so - a Maruka stamp doesn't guarantee that it's a high-end finisher for razors - even if it's real.

Completely agree with you. The Japanese market is already big enough for marukas - the planing guys (like the axe guys in aus) love them. That being said the Japanese tend to be a very honest nation so I would be happier buying an unknown quantity from a Japanese seller than a Nigerian for instance :) oh and no offence meant to all the Nigerian members.
