IIRC, It weighs in at a tad over 2 ounces.

Mine which I have just waid with digital scales is 78g or 2.8oz. Seems to correlate with one of the values lamina gave. I'd be interested to see if there were lighter and heavier ones and if so, why?

Thanks for the agressiveness overview link, but i was thinking just about the total weight of the piece. I've seen a lot of contradictory information.Maybe Merkur is doing this razor in several different plants around or different alloys.Anyway quite strange...

Maybe someone can give a better answer.

You would need to calibrate the scales or use the same scale for all the razors. If not, then expect to see variances of at least a couple tenths of an ounce due to calibration error.

Yes that does make complete sense. I just wasn't using any common sense.

I'm sure the weight is standard - - - it's the vendors that are off. Occam's razor and all that.
