I have read that some think the horn feels hollow...I don't really notice more hollow than with any other material. I have not used the size #8 yet...it was sitting for about 30 hours in the pile of unread mail at my office (did not think it would get here from fr in a week).

I have two runs with the 16. I like the shape of the handle and compared to my vulfix, this hair is much less floppy and DENSE! I intend to use the 16 for my head and the 8 for my face.

the hmw 16 came from vintage, it was only about 20 more than the euro white from plisson.
the hmw 8 came from plisson (only took a week)...I could not locate that small of a size at a US vendor.

I did not see a 16 hmw offered from plisson, they had a 14 2-band white and a 16 white. I have read that the 14 can have some flop to it...but as dense as these are packed it is prob very tolerable in 2 band.

I think hmw might be a seasonable product for them or a production run thing.
