I have a Gillette with a "flare tip"...but the handle is black (tip is stainless). The code says 4 F. Is this a Superspeed Flare Tip from 1960? Sorry for no picture - camera phone takes horrible pics.

That pic looks like it...but could 4F be from 1985? Did they make it that long? I sh

the black handle Super-Speed was made from 1967-1985. This range I´ve seen - maybe it´s longer
That actually is a razor that has quite a demand on here as a birthday razor. There were not a lot of Gillette DEs being sold at the time (they were expensive relative to Schicks which were undated). You could make a members day by offering to sell or trade it.....
