I think it is against the rules to link a running auction so I wont't link it, but is $995.00 what these are going for?

$995.00 what these are going for?

They are not that common, so i don't think there is a "going price" in which to guage them. Personally, I might pay $300-$400 for a NOS because I really, really want one. That's just what its worth to me. Others may be willing to pay only $200 for a NOS. I know this one has been listed for a long time, but I wouldn't be suprised to see it sell for the $995 one day.

That razor has been listed FOREVER on ebay, and no, it is not worth it.
+1 Wow. I guess it's rare but c'mon. But hey there are people out there who'll drop 1 K for an AOS handle. I guess market forces set the price. To each his own.

For that price he should drive it to your door. There used to be an indicator on eBay that showed how many offers had been made on "or best offer" listings. It would be interesting to know how many offers this item has had.

I am amazed that he keeps relisting it - the listing fees mount up. I made a (much lower) offer once and was promptly rejected. Several have sold on ebay for < 1/2 that amount.

I sold one for around $230. It was well used though. A nice excellent to near mint one would easily be worth $400-$500 based solely upon scarcity. They were never released to the general public.

I wonder scotty, could this be reynoldsart under a different user id?

Nope. Not the same.

Years ago, I bought several nice items from ptbsr for a song. Some time later, a few members levelled some pretty serious charges against him here, and I chose not to do business with him again. Mind you, I never had a problem with him, but he answered some fairly straightfoward questions by potential buyers in a manner that was uncalled for, and that was it for me.

As for Mr. better-than-new, he's not welcome here.
