1930s New "Narrow Neck" vs. New

Above the Tie has some great looking rhodium replated New razors. I'm trying to determine the differences between them.

One is called a 1930s New "Narrow Neck":

The other is simply called the "New":

Any thoughts on the differences between these two? The "Narrow Neck" looks like is has a longer comb head and a narrower but longer handle. Are these Frankenrazors?

Long-comb vs short-comb is one difference, handle thickness is the other. I would guess the "narrow neck" refers to the thinner bar-handle, but it is not a term I have seen before. The narrow bar-handle is a bit rarer, but that hardly matters after a replate.

I doubt either variation will change the shave much. I find short-comb and long-comb give almost identical shaves. Some folks prefer one or the other, though.

Narrow Neck? I will have to ask Stan about that term/name.
