1890 star first shave

Had it for a while never honed it with this thing it's all about the angle if don't have it right it doesn't shave I have two 1890 1909 two toltle different angles

I don't have the time to get into honing.
You can create a "wedge" with a Gem blade and the spine from a Gem blade
That would give you the correct angle and you can adjust the blade exposure to your liking.

I have done this with a 1886 Star Razor (no blade stops) and a Perfecta razor (an old French Lather Catcher).

These can be excellent shavers actually.

That Kampfe is in very nice condition. Congratulations on your find! I only use Kampfe razors with wedge blades and they are not at all difficult to hone on a coticule stone.
