Trumper Skinfood - Extract of Limes....

I've bought a few different Trumpers products over the years and outwith their soaps and creams which are generally excellent I am usually left a little dissapointed with their skin and bodycare prouducts. There is usually better value to be had out there.
This stuff has a nice clean scent and a little does go a long way. Apart from that I find it just an above average ASB. About an hour after I apply it my skin feels dry again and I need to apply a moisturiser.
Here is the bug for me. I received this as a sample along with a sample of the coral skin food and the ingredients are EXACTLY the same. So where is the extract of limes? Is it extract of limes fragrance? Or extract of limes colour? I want my limes dammit!

I loved the scent of this. As someone else has said, it does temporarily leave a sticky residue on the skin that I haven't found with the Coral, but it leaves within a few minutes. It moisturizes my skin decently, but not the best, IMHO. My biggest complaint is that the scent, for me, is very fleeting. Almost before I have finished working it into my skin, the scent is gone. This is a shame, because the smell is one of the reasons I prefer this to the Coral. If they could just make the scent last a little longer, it would be excellent.

I love this stuff and to me it's better thain the Coral version. I like the smell a lot better on this one. As a preshave it's quite a farce in comparison to Proraso Pre/Post and can be as an after shave soother if i'm not using the proper shaving cream. Somehow it feels like this works a lot better with the limes shavingcream thain anything else.

I found this product to just be ok. However, if I use this after applying my T&H west Indian limes balm, I find the T&H scent lasts longer. I only need a tiny drop of this product for my whole face.

This works a lot better than some other products I have tried, but it is not at the top of my list. It does not burn, and it does a decent job moisturizing, but it doesn't do a whole lot for razor burn if you scrape a few too many skin layers off. The scent is good, but it seems a little artificial to me. I absolutely love the scent of limes when you zest them for cooking, and this is not in that league. The cost is a little steep as well for the return. Overall good, but not great.

Part of me wants to say that this is just some fancy Corn Husker's Lotion, but I really do enjoy it. Very little is needed, about two drops covers everything. The scent is nice but light, and I find myself using the coral version a bit more. The lime does, however, go nicely with lemon, lime, coconut, avocado, Arlington, and others.

I use this primarily as a "last" step, rather than a first. Seems to help lock in all the goodness of other preparations. At around $24, it's a luxury, but as it lasts for a good year, it's nice to have around.

Nice scent. A little thin, but the bottle doesn't let it pour out anyway. Suckes up by the skin post shave with a little tingle. Sadly leaves a sticky residue behind.

I've been using the Limes as a pre-shave for a couple of months, and I find that it makes a positive difference, making the shaving experience much smoother.

This was my "go to" aftershave product since I started with the higher-end wetshaving products, until I tried the CAR Hydrolast Skin Conditioner and Proraso's pre-post product. I think its best used in the summer when you don't need as much "moisturizing" as you do "protecting" properties.

(BTW, combining the CAR Skin Conditioner *and* Skin Food is quite synergistic! With the CAR alone my skin feels soft and moisturized for 8-10 hours, but team it with Skin Food and the feeling goes for an entire 24 hours!)

Compared to Nivea and other *** products this is a superior product - however compared to other top shelf offerings, it is lacking. Skinfood does a medeocre job of soothing the skin and such - but does a wonderful job "sealing" the skin, thus is a superb aftershave for summer use. I use extract of limes skinfood more so than the coral (rose) - and HIGHLY recommend pairing this aftershave with Trumper Coconut shaving cream.... coconut followed by lime is just pure magic!
