I am new to the forum. I have been wet shaving for around forty years, mostly with Gillette multi blade razors, but I tried everything along the way. I have been using a double edge safety for a little while, it is the only razor my father a WWII vet ever used, so I always wanted to use them, but never knew I could still buy them. Who knew that your local drug store did not carry everything there is to shave with?!! I am a face and head shaver of late. I am practicing with a straight razor and hope to make the switch to that within the next year. I would love to exchange information with other New York, New Jersey, Connecticut shavers about meetups and shaving supplies in our area.
