Gillette Tech Getting Some Love

Very nice looking tech. My most recent tech purchase was a fourth quarter (Z4) 1954 Gillette ball end tech. I’m trying to get one from each quarter of 1954. Three down and one to go. Only need a second quarter one to complete it

Techs are the best. My go to shaver. Change the blade feels like a different razor. Mild yet so efficient.

I love the vintage techs but the ones I see online look like they come straight out of the garbage dump. Even a lot of the restored versions have stains and scratches. How do you guys have them looking brand new?

I never really cared for using my Tech, but after reading the number of posts where others are really liking the results it delivers, I thought that I would give it a little more love and start using it more often. Being a mild razor (IMHO) it really provides a very smooth and enjoyable shave. It has been my daily driver for my last three enjoyable shaves.

Haha, oh yes. Secret is to have a user grade for daily pleasure, and then carefully await the pristine ones. They do pop up and the added greatness of Techs is that even the good ones are still cheap.

I got this wonderful (= like new) French Tech for 28 EUR. Not the very cheapest but it is literally like it came off the production line.
