YMMV

Rushed again, so I did today's shave with no shower first, no prep at all. Excellent results.
--Fatboy
--New GSB blade
--Floris vintage brush
--MdC agrumes soap
--4711 cologne as an aftershave splash
No nicks, no weepers, of course: drawing blood = a lousy shave.
Not quite a BBS 3-pass shave, but close.

There's something about Sunday that has me reaching for a vintage razor - even if it's not the obvious one :

Vintage Hobson of Leamington 6/8 round point straight razor
Nom "Theo" wood handle boar brush
Stirling "Haverford" soap
Current production "Denim" aftershave

The Hobson's another reliable favourite, and the Theo seems to be breaking in nicely (I've had it a while, but for some reason my brush circulation keeps growing...). The soap is a fairly recent addition (one I heard about here, added to another expanding assortment). It's a good one.

Another relaxing "9".

Feather (4)
PAA Starcraft synth brush

24-hour beard

Gillette postwar fat-handled Tech in champagne gold/ Feather blade (2)

Mix of Stirling Noir & Bay Rum, and Texas on Fire

AP Shave Co. synthetic tuxedo brush

Clubman SR aftershave, Assured lotion, Clubman powder

Workout this morning, shower, a little Trumper's Almond cream as a pre-shave; then loaded the brush with the Stirlings, face-lathered, waited 3 minutes, and went to work. The Tech shaves as always: neatly and smoothly, near BBS in 2 passes. Once again I got a little too enthusiastic on the left section of my lower lip and drew a bit of blood that the styptic pencil whisked away.

Verdict: 9.3.

I have 'expanding assortments ' too and they're starting to get in arguments with my non-expanding apartment [emoji1]

I've had gastric flu the last few days and haven't managed to shave since Wednesday, so quite a lot of growth today! I just went for a nice and easy two pass ATG shave to but the razor and blade combo felt a bit tuggy in parts.
It was also my second shave with this cream comparing it against a Saponificio Bignoli Indian Sandalwood sample. I still have SP ahead on all counts. It provides a slicker lather, the post shave feel was better and scent wise it blows Truefitt and Hill out of the water. I still can't get any discernible scent from the Truefitt and Hill cream.

Brush: Proraso Professional boar brush
Soap: Ariana & Evans - Asian Plum
Razor: Razorock Game Changer OC
Blade: Voskhod

10/10: I have never found open comb razors appealing. They feel a bit weird to me and I didn't see much benefit. Today's use of the Game Changer OC plate, however, was surprisingly efficient even if it felt a bit different.

Sunday shave Jan 17th 2021, having a little fun with the New Razorock Lupo .72 2nd Generation razor, Still testing the mid range non threatening easy to use DE razor. Not sure how they engineered this shaving jewel to get great results and still shave with comfort. I thought I would put the razor through some more paces and performed some buffing, also J hooking and of course the Lupo slide :001_smile (Gillette slide) for those who are not familiar with that manoeuvre. The razor passed those manoeuvres with no issues and so to me it is a winner if a person wants a solid mid range easy going razor. I think it could be a daily driver easily for my beard type but only on day 2 of at least 7 consecutive shaves! I could have a grail razor but still would get bored and use some of my many other razors (40 + razors as if I need another one, this will be last one:lol:). I have three Razorock stainless steel razors now and it is just as good or possibly better than the lot, time will tell what I reach for the most.

Razor: Razorock Lupo.72 2nd generation -MFG 2021, excellent mid range with all the charteristic of a good razor head. Easy to handle and manipulate on the face. Smooth and very efficient IMO.
Blade: Gillette Astra SP(2) it is my standard blade for testing and comparing any other blades. Sharp & Smooth priced well also. Good longevity.
Soap: Razorock XXX- great clean scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Razorock Plissoft 24mm- This synthetic is my oldest synthetic brush used and has soft tips with a nice back bone for a scrub & a good lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock XXX with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: 10/10 or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers =:a17:Excellent shave with new RR Lupo.72 + Gillette Astra SP blade.
