. The FR Maxterpiece is a hefty wedge with a keen edge. And the fabulous Sandalwood-based lather was one heck of a way to begin this shave. And to finish things off, I used the Sabon after shave creme that Frank sent me to moisturize and sooth my face...Simple, smooth and BBS.

I've been comparing my two razors, the Muhle R89 and the EJ DE86 for a little while now. They are virtually the same razor, but I've concluded that the DE86 is a tad more aggressive and I prefer it. Seems to give me a slightly smoother shave.

It has been quite some time since I've posted on SOTD. I used MWF for almost three straight months. Because I didn't make much of a dent in the puck, it sapped some of my enthusiasm. On the other hand, my technique improved dramatically, and I've been able to pare down my routine. I'm now using some new products:

According to their website they do manufacture shaving brushes, and I quite like the design on several, I just haven't been able to find a place to buy one.
