Aftershave: Aqua Velva Blue
Post: Eucerin Complete

I actually don't like giving out tens, but feel I've narrowed down to my 4-5 absolute best razors as of late, and it's been happening more often. My gauge for a ten is a simple measure of lack of irritation vs closeness of the shave, in particular, a couple trouble areas I have on my neck and around my mouth. Started with a couple days worth of growth, and this shave was flawless. I had the best week of shaves I'd ever put together with the Lupo aluminum last week. Time will tell, but this one feels just a touch better, likely only because it's just a bit easier to modulate pressure.

Back to Lupo aluminum last night. Briefly tried it with an RK blade, made it about half a stroke with the grain. This is the second time I've tried that blade, it's not for me. Threw the trusty 7 o'clock in and was rewarded with one of the best shaves I've had, well, since the last time I used this razor and blade, lol.

Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation or V2 Lupo.72 - Mfg Jan 2021>,tame mid to mid range. excellent machining and finish QC. Design is great for moustache lines and under the nose area IMO. I have been using this razor for almost 3 years in my weekly razor rotation mostly and have enjoyed it a lot for folks who shave daily it might be Ok also.(I shaved daily for a week straight when I first received it.) I have lots of razors so I have a large slow rotation to some even as a daily shaver. Had a stellar comfortable close shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Gillette 7oClock SP (1) sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier blade of my 6 top.
Soap : Yaqi "The Green" nice refreshing nature scent(Lacoste essential green cologne scent) with excellent lather qualities. Yaqi commissioned Master soap creations SA to make soaps and fragrances.
Brush : Yaqi " Dandelion" 24mm cashmere synthetic. Excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Nice Green color , one of my favorite colors.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : "Yaqi The Green" splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my RR Lupo.72 with a Gillette 7oClock SP. Very nice shave with a fresh blade this morning.

Life is good in Lupo-land. My Lupo 95 SB is currently my favorite Lupo I'm using. Paired with a Big Ben SS has made for a week of smooth, irritation-free, shaves. Oh, the Dutchy products are great. If you don't have Reuzel Wood and Spice, you need it. Cheers!

Blade : Gillette 7oClock SP- sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Tabac puck, nice flowery clean scent with very excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic sky"24 mm synthetic. Excellent lather generator, Heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Alum + Nivea Refreshing splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my RR Lupo.72 with a Gillette 7oClock SP blade.

I have been using the Lupo 95 SB for two weeks, with good results, but the "wow" was missing. Until today, I popped in a Winner Platinum. Lathered up some blue Speick cream with the EJ STF XL, and wow, the Lupo was back. Super smooth and moved down a 2 day growth with ease. No irritation, no weepers, no stinging from the Splash. 10/10

Nice post shave feel on this one, think I'll see the end of the tub tomorrow. For me, nothing in the arsenal shaves better than this blade in the Lupos right now, my face feels incredible. I'm a two and done guy on blades, but this one churned out as a good shave this evening as it did when brand new.

Tonight for my fourth 3017 shave of this week I once again turned to the Moka-Express. It has started wearing quite a hole in the EJ Sandalwood and I am now hoping I may get I finished by the end of the year. Until now the Lupo hasn't really impressed me, but with the Shark SS blade it provides close, comfortable shaves. Tonight it was another near BBS and that is a credit to the Shark blade and the Thin Bar handle, as a heavier handle means that the light head just doesn't balance properly.

Lupo 95 SB for me this afternoon with a Wizamet and Canada soap. I think 4th shave on that blade. Outstanding result.

Razor : Razorock Lupo.72- Mfg 2021>, mid range. Excellent design + excellent machining and finish QC. This razor checks all the boxes for a nice shave + daily driver for some folks. Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Polsilver SI (1)- sharp and smooth. This blade works well for myself with a light pass trough a cork, seems to smooth it out a little. Iridium coating could of been applied a little think??
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer rapier, very nice scented soap(dupe of Aramis classic scent) that is kind of addicting to me it seems+ lather quality is excellent.
Brush : Yaqi "Sagrada Familia" 22mm 2band badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. For a small handled 22mm badger brush this little brush out performs other larger brushes IMO!
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel soap residual cleanse on beard + Yaqi Musketeer rapier + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a stellar comfortable close shave this morning with my RR Lupo.72 with a Polsliver blade.( It does not get much better shaving for myself.)

It's been fun seeing how far I can push this blade in this razor. I'd have say that shaves 1-4 were perfect, 5 was still pretty good, 6 was acceptable, and 7 wasn't much fun. Now I know! I'd still give it an 8/10, as it still shaved really close, but it's the first time I've had a few weepers with this combo.

Yesterday it was time to get rid of 2 days of stubble, so instead of the R89, I pulled out the Lupo .95 SB with a Gillette Platinum blade. Effortless shave and very good result. A joy to use (again).

Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation Lupo.72- Mfg Jan 2021>, Excellent mid range. I really enjoy this razor for performance and design. The razor design works well under the nose and moustache lines + has some positive blade feel. It just works well for the last 3 years and happy with the shaves it gives. Had a close stellar comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Polsilver SI(4) sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap : La Toja stick- mild scented soap with great lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "lucky casinos" 26mm Timberwolf knot. Excellent lather generator, luxury heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle scrubber + excellent lather painter. One of my best buys from Yaqi for a synthetic brush.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Proraso green Eucalyptus with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my RR 2nd Gen Lupo.72 with a Polsilver SI blade.

Excellent combination, apart from an odd nick, perfect.
