I'm not posting my personal best here, because I have yet to take it!

Here's a random selection of some pictures I enjoyed looking at and taking.

Picture of the graveyard at Balquhidder, Scotland (Trossachs). The sky was rather dull and I chose to add some drama to the picture. This is the burial place of Rob Roy and his family. (Contax G2)

Mooring on the Canal Grande, Venice, Italy. (Contax G2)

Picture taken in my garden. (Nikon D200)

All three pics are copyrighted but you may use them for your own personal pleasure.

Here's a few of mine, I mainly shoot classic range finders, and a few SLR's

My understanding of the reason you're not allowed to photograph it is that Nikon paid for a good part of the restoration in exchange for the photography rights.

The first is, of course, the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. What makes this photograph great (for me) is that you're not allowed to take photographs in the chapel. If the guards see someone raise a camera, they barge through the perpetually-crowded room, grab the person, and escort them out of the chapel. I can understand that flash photography could damage the breathtaking painting, but I felt a flashless shot was justifiable, particularly seeing as I'd just bought the official photography album (perhaps why they don't want you taking your own photos).

What makes this photo for me is that it was taken "shooting from the hip", I had my arm down at my waist, just randomly pointed the camera upwards, and clicked the shutter. I quickly returned the camera to my pocket, unsure what the photograph was like until we left and I could examine the camera. It turns out that my random shot actually looks rather good, fairly well-composed, and has none of the (very dense) crowd of people showing. Not bad for a random upshot without looking through the lens!

This one was taken after desert at what was mine and my girlfriend's favorite little Italian resteraunt just a few months after we started dating:

Some more of my favorites can be found here. You can click on any of the above images to see some more information about them.

OK, here is my favorite pic from a series of nature shots I took a few years ago. (I really enjoy nature photography... I've got a ton more prints, but this is one I had already digitized for a friends desktop.)

Camera: Canon Elan 7e
Lens: Canon 70-300mm USM Drive
Tripod: None (Hand Held)
Flash: None

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do...

This is the best one I've actually put online.

I'm not a big fan of posting the exif data, but I do it on Flickr. My feed is here: http://flickr.com/photos/brofkand/ . When someone asks me, "What camera did you use?" I say, "A $1 camera." And the truth is most of my color film stuff does come from a dollar store camera. It's very similar to a Holga. If you have a Dollar Tree in your area, I recommend picking one up. If your Dollar Tree sells the cameras with the hot shoe, PM me because mine doesn't.

As I have stated before, photography is very much art and science. You must possess both disciplines in the right mixture to produce what many people consider to be "good photography."

This is one of the best photos I've seen. The amount of post-processing you had to do to get this effect shows you have some serious skills. Very nicely done!

Thank you! That's very much appreciated. That's one of my personal favorite photos. It was a lot of fun to make. The husband of the woman in the background was helping direct the shoot as well.
