Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Razor: Mühle R89 DSC Destroyer handle
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium (2...and done)
Brush: Arno Classic #12, G5 synthetic
Bowl: DSC scuttle
Soap: Mühle Grapefruit & Mint
Alum: none
A/S: TOBS - Royal Forest (sample)
EdP: Byredo - Super Cedar (sample)

Today's wasn't a planned shave day but I just got back from the gym, hopped in the shower and felt like I needed a shave. The R89 was ready for action and I quickly lathered up with Mühle Grapefruit & Mint and the Arno brush. Delightful, rich lather every time with this brush.

I achieved a two pass WTG CCS, perfectly fine for a weekend shave. No nicks, no weepers, but a bit of irritation - I can't really pinpoint it, it's either soap or something with this brush. But other than some redness there isn't any skin burning. We'll see on Monday. The Arno brush will take a break and my badger will take over. Now it's a game of elimination. Today I skipped the exfoliator and the Glycerin pre-shave; it's safe to say that those aren't the culprit.

Wishing you all a lovely rest of the weekend.

Notes:

Summary. Superb way to kickstart Saturday. The shave itself was rather quick as I had to chauffeur one of the offspring early morning.

Day 16, 51.6% complete

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Saponificio Varesino Cubebe
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC.84 SB, Ti Handle, Nacet #2
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Proraso Sensitive Balm

Used Cubebe for SV Saturday. The Nacet had smoothed out for shave 2, as they usually do. I got a comfortable near-BBS.

The Proraso balm is good.
