I made the mistake of browsing Connaught and spotted the new version of the Omega Premium Boar and the FaTip dual head razors. I also added some samples, aftershave balms and blade tucks to bulk up the order.

My wife is also away until Tuesday so I'll avoid the usual "Why did you buy more shaving stuff?!" questioning when it arrives

We seem to be comin' in hot for the end of the month, with two down right before the finish line. Let's hope you both can rein it in and go for the 30/31 badge.

Perhaps my best ever head shave, three passes on two days growth. I doubled up the ATG passes at the end, which allowed me to go easy on both of them resulting in a new level of closeness that didn't require excess cleanup. I am so enjoying my Gillette Techs for head shaving with the Nacet blade! Mild razor, sharpish blade...great combo!

Listed a couple Blackbirds on BST to try and jettison some of my over-indulgence. Unfortunately, I did it wrong, so my thread was deleted and I caught a two-week ban. Now I'm trying my hand as a seller-of-my-own-stuff on ebay. Time will tell how that goes.

Had another good shave with my Futur and a second round with a Personna Platinum. My lather skills continue to improve.
Going to do the same tomorrow but try round two with the Dovo Platinum.

Got plenty of time for a leisurely shave. I find Wizamets smoother on their second outing, like most of the PPI blades.

A good near-BBS, but I might have got a bit over-zealous with the ATG pass.

Still in, reporting from Barcelona. We arrived yesterday, 2 Trac II shaves, yesterday with Mike’s, today’s in the shower with body wash and conditioner. The cartridge is fairly worn, I’m getting 8.9 / 10 quality shaves. This might be the last internet for a while. RFB, Rotbart Platinveredelt (5), Vie Long, CRS Wild Rose, Salvador Dali.

A few small weepers but a solid BBS shave today. The blade had plenty of life left, but I dropped it while taking it out of the razor, so premature send off.

Most of the time, I put finished blades in my avian bank, but this one is going into the masoleum of blades that delivered phenomenal shaves.

Last night’s luxuriously stupendous shave

Damp washcloth aka “shave binky”
Whipped Dog Butterscotch 30mm boar brush 13/100
Pre-shave: Warm shower
Lather: Wickham’s 1912, bowl-loaded/face-lathered
Aftershave: Ulm Nom
Post-shave: face wash with shave binky
Post-shave: mentholated Equate moisturizer

The secret of the runny lotion lather; as made with a boar brush; seems to have been unlocked. I transferred the brush from its mug to the soap loading bowl without shaking or squeezing out water. Next, I swirled the brush over the soap until the water started to reabsorb into the bristles. Then, I let the bristles leak the liquid back into the loading bowl. Then I repeated the swirling to reabsorb and leak back out a few more times so even more soap was added without a foam or ‘lather’ generating. At this point, I had to hold the loading bowl under my neck to catch lotion as it leaked from the brush, but my shave was very comfortable and very close.

My wife just handed me 2 packs (28 pieces) of these Bic2 that she found in our bathroom. Has someone a clue how old they are? My best guess would be 10-12 years at least.
