Thank you all very much for your time, replies, and suggestions. I ended up purchasing the Merkur Long Handled 23C and a 120 blade variety pack. Excited to start wet shaving. Now off to start looking for shades! Thanks again, greatly appreciate everyone's input!

No I'm still a high school senior. I don't report to the Academy until July of this year.

I may not have spent any time in the sandbox, but you cant go wrong with that Merkur. My Merkur 34C lasted me though countless 12-hour security shifts on my last ship, and is still going strong on shore duty.
