Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat (Tallow)
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC.84 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #1
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm

I loaded a fresh Astra for the fourth week. Back to the Game Changer, for a quick but effective DFS.

Thanks for finding the thread about KCGs, @JAHE. We'll probably never know for sure.

Still in on this on this Vintage April Micromatic Monday. Today I choose my 80 year old (repaired) Gem Jr 1912 series. First, I honed the Gem PTFE blade on a 110 year old Stag Sharpener, then stropped it on a 100 year old TwinPlex. After addy my RIGS Shim, I got an excellent shave, barely stirred up yesterday’s cut. A 9.8 on shave 14 for the blade.

Summary. Approaching marble on the cheeks today, but the journey was less stellar.

Enjoy your shave!

Still in. It was very close yesterday though, but I remembered.......... Almost impulse bought a DE89, but I prevailed. 😁

Evening shave - 4/22/24
Razor: Noname OC
Blade: Derby Premium (8)
Soap: BSS #1
Brush: RazoRock Hive 24
Aftershave: Clubman VIBR
Rating: 9/10, DFS
New razor. Unknown, noname OC razor. Used the blade from previous shave. Very comfortable shave, but it felt a bit inefficient. Could be the blade that is on te way out. I will try a new blade next time. Very comfortable shave though, but some to be desired in closeness.

Today's shave, 2 days of growth

Razor : Merkur 34 HD C
Blade : Voshkod (5)
Soap (SOTM) : Hendrix Classics & co Canadian Mafia Shave Soap
Brush : Trafalgar T2
Aftershave: Osma Alum block, Stirling sharp dressed man, Proraso White Balm

Well I finally killed that Proraso White Balm AS. I will now focus on the Nivea sensitive skin one.

I'm getting a bit more confident with the Ambassador, although today I missed to not shave the spot on my neck with the small cut from a few days ago. :facep:

Nonetheless, a good DFS++ shave (6 WTG, 3 ATG). :001_rolle

Have a great day everyone!

Had an early morning shave today for a change

Pre-Shave: Hot Face Wash
Brush: Simpsons Chubby 3 in Best
Razor: Gold Follar 66 6/8
Soap: MDC Agrumes

Post-Shave
Alum Block
Williams Acqua Velva Ice Nlue Splash
Razorock XXX ASB
Ach Brito Bergamotto Cologne

No fuss or drama just a wonderfully good shave. Very close but no irritation or claret and zero sting from the alum block. Was ready to face the office after this shave.

Finishing line in sight. Let’s close this out brethren

Still in. Back to the early postwar Tech, it was easier on my face after the recent blood letting. No blood today, and a CCS for #521 on the Fearher.
I’m soaking my Badger in Dove soap and water tonight. The moisturizing hand soap I wash it in after every shave is building up and affecting its effectiveness.(🤭)

The blade had smoothed out for its second shave. All the components worked together perfectly, for an easy near-BBS.
