Got a good source for the black paste? I've been thinking of giving it a shot myself.

I bought the Herold Black and TI White Paste from Knife Center. They were one of the few sellers that had both in stock. Looks like they are currently in stock. And a summary of the Herold pastes:

Green. Coarse. About 6 micron. Tube.
Red. Medium. About 3 micron. Stick and tube.
Black. Fine. About 1.5 micron. Only stick.
